In this day and age, young ladies usually prefer short formal dresses rather than the old school styles of formal dresses. This particular trend in formal evening dresses is often not well accepted by the more conservative sectors of our society, as they possess the firm belief that young ladies should dress in the classic manner—that of long formal dresses.
